Hutzot Hayotzer: Jerusalem Will Hold Its Annual Arts and Crafts Fair

Dozens of artists from all countries of the world will showcase their talent  during the Arts and Crafts Fair in the Old City section of Jerusalem in August.  The fair attracts Israelis and tourists from all across the world and for a good reason! The fair is held at a beautiful location in Jerusalem, called the Sultan Pool.The Sultan Pool is an amphitheater, opposite the Tower of David at the west of the Old City. Can you think of a better location? No wonder this artists colony has become a tradition for over thirty years.

In Hebrew, the festival is called the Hutzot Hayotzer – thousands of years ago, the area was used for worship rituals.

The fair is  set to display two key artists’ stalls:

International Pavilion – This stall includes works by African, Asian, European, Middle Eastern and North and South American artists along with an exceptional Australian aboriginal art exhibition
Israeli Pavilion – This stall houses works by over 150 Israeli artists that includes ceramics, jewelry, metalwork, paintings, textiles and weaving.

The annual festival also offers goers exotic food and dishes from around the world along with musical, dance and theater performances to enjoy. Hadag Nachash, Gidi Gov, Ivri Lider and Mosh Ben Ari are just some of the many performers who will showcase their talent on the main stage at Sultan’s Pool.

The Bezalel Compound will comprise of an indie-film and animation presentation along with the creative works of Bezalele Academy of Arts and Design. These works are made of a variety of substances like glass, design, fashion, photography, sculpture, metal and painting.

The fair is open every evening 18:00-23:00
